Step 5 - See you at the shoot

We do photos for individuals, high school seniors, couples, engagement photos, anniversaries, families, and extended family groups. We’d also love to do your event photos, such as birthday or anniversary parties. Simply contact us to develop a plan for your event that works for you.

There’s always something lovely about that classic posed, smile-at-the-camera shot. We do some of those. But we love catching the candid shots of you interacting naturally with each other, smiling, laughing, or frowning. Those are the shots we work to get because they capture the real essence and emotion of your family that you’ll want to remember forever.

Within one week of your session we will send you a link with a sneak peak of your images. After that, the rest of your images will be ready within 4 weeks.

We want you to be as comfortable and stress free as possible for your photoshoot, so here are several things for you to consider while choosing what your family will wear:

Neutral colours are great any time. Try choosing a cool or warm colour scheme depending on the season. Adding in a pattern or two works well, just be sure the patterns aren’t too bold or too many or they will be distracting in the photos.

Avoid dressing in all black or all white.

Choose outfits that are coordinating but not matching.

Textures add depth and interest. If mom’s dress is smooth, try something corduroy for baby and ruffles for sister.

Accessories can be fun but keep them simple. Hats are ok too but be aware that ball caps or wide brimmed hats can cause dark circles under the eyes and red marks on the forehead.

Layers can be great if you want to switch up your look without needing a clothing change.

It’s best to stick with pants rather than shorts for dad, even if the weather is warm. It just seems to look better in photos.

Short dresses could limit your ability to pose comfortably, especially if you’ll be sitting on the ground.

Eyes are always drawn to skin in photos, so be aware of showing skin you’re not comfortable with.

Try to avoid things with logos, graphics or characters.

Dress kids in clothes they can be comfortable playing in as some of our session time with them will be playing. Shorts under girls dresses are great.

Most importantly, wear whatever you love and feels like YOU. Trying a new style might make you feel self conscious which could show up in the photos.

Try Pinterest or Google if you need some ideas and inspiration.

We typically post more images than what each package includes which can be purchased for an additional cost.

Deposits will be refunded if the client cancels 4 weeks before the scheduled session. If the session is canceled with less than 4 weeks notice, no portion of the fees paid to Vendor will be returned to compensate for hours of service already rendered and the loss of the date.

If the session is canceled by the client, no portion of the fees paid to Vendor will be returned. If canceled less than 1 week before session date, 2nd payment will be required to compensate for hours of service already rendered and loss of event date. If the event is postponed, services contracted can be applied to a new date if available as stated in the Postponement Policy within the contract.

Yes, we back up the photos and keep them for years. You will also have secure access to your photo gallery online for the first year. After this access can be attained by requesting a new security code.
